This role is also eligible for S&amp;C’s annual incentive plan (AIP), subject to eligibility criteria.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Join Our Team as a Project Engineer (Facilities/Equipment)!</strong></p><p>In this job you will work on a variety of production equipment along with process systems controlled by programmable logic controllers used in our manufacturing facility that are tied to the S&amp;C network for data collection purposes. This work includes working with maintenance technicians to troubleshoot, repair, adjust and other maintenance tasks related to the support of a wide variety production, process and production support equipment and chemical distribution systems. The Project<span> </span>Engineer performs maintenance tasks utilizing equipment manuals, assembly drawings, and electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Providing electronic engineering and software programming for manufacturing process automation.&nbsp;</li><li>Connecting automation and CNC equipment to networked data collection system.&nbsp;</li><li>Developing and maintaining human-machine interface (HMI) software for manufacturing process automation and test automation.&nbsp;</li><li>Developing and maintaining programmable logic controller (PLC) software for manufacturing process control and test equipment. Evaluate and specify electronic sensors for manufacturing process data acquisition; oversee sensor installation and startup.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist maintenance staff with training and maintenance of automation systems.&nbsp;</li><li>Responsible for training factory and support staff on implemented equipment and technology.&nbsp;</li><li>Work with Lean and manufacturing engineers on production line improvements.&nbsp;</li><li>Lead person for updating facilities process and manufacturing data recording and retrieval processes.&nbsp;</li><li>Developing and supporting automation initiatives within manufacturing facilities maintenance group.&nbsp;</li><li>Assist with integration and programming of robotics and automation projects provided by third parties.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop and implement automation and integration methods that improve operations.&nbsp;</li></ul><p style="margin-left:.5in;">&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What you’ll Need To Succeed:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree required (prefer BSEE or BSCS)&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in writing PLC codes for Rockwell (Allen-Bradley), Siemens, GE, and other industry standard PLC platforms.&nbsp;</li><li>Experience in writing HMI code using Wonderware, FactoryTalk View ME/SE, RSView, and other industry standard graphical interfaces.&nbsp;</li><li>Project Management capabilities.&nbsp;</li><li>3+ years of experience working with low to medium volume assembly process improvements&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with quality improvement implementation.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to demonstrated problem solving and team facilitating skills.&nbsp;</li><li>Must have strong knowledge base of motors, drives and PLCs&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with industrial process sensors and controls&nbsp;</li></ul><p><strong>Preferred:</strong></p><ul><li>3+ years experience with HMI and PLC ladder logic&nbsp;</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>S&amp;C Electric is committed to equal-opportunity employment.
